Parking Valets
Job description
These individuals take care of clients' vehicles when they arrive at and depart from a hotel establishment, for example. They welcome clients and park their vehicle in the parking lot or other space reserved for this purpose. They return the vehicle to the front of the establishment upon request of the client during their stay. They work for:
- Resorts/health spas
- Hotels
- Restaurants and bars
- Private clubs
- Convention centres

Main tasks
- Write down the vehicle's make, number, and registration location on a tag.
- Give the tag and vehicle keys to the parking attendant.
- Help people with limited mobility get into their vehicle.
- Provide information and driving directions to clients.
- Collaborate with their establishment’s reception service to anticipate the number of arrivals and departures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction before and after providing valet parking services.
- Handle complaints, as required.
Training and requirements
Formation
Also required
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to drive a car with manual transmission.
Sometimes required
- Experience with driving several types of vehicles considered an asset.
- Experience in customer service may be required.
