Sheet Metal Worker Supervisors
Job description
These individuals plan, coordinate, and oversee the activities of sheet metal workers. They manage staff who shape metal parts and ensure their training. They prepare sheet metal templates using computer-aided design and drafting software. They inspect and verify the quality and compliance of the installations and final products. They work for:

Main tasks
- Order material and supplies.

- Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards.
- Program computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools.
- Draft reports describing the work accomplished and the tasks that remain.
Training and requirements
Formation
Also required
- Many years of experience as a Sheet Metal Worker.
- A journeyman competency certificate (JCC) as a Sheet Metal Worker.
