Main tasks
Concrete Product Shaping and Finishing Workers
- Build models and moulds in clay used for the assembly of concrete products.
- Build and repair wooden forms used to cast concrete products.
- Place wire mesh and rebar in moulds.
- Pour concrete into moulds.
- Pack or pound concrete.
- Remove casts and finish surfaces.
- Cut sections of concrete pipe and cement them to form joints.
Concrete Product Machine Operators
- Mix, puncture, grind, and cut concrete according to specifications.
- Check product quality and repair defects.
- Make adjustments and minor maintenance of the machines.
- Move products using forklifts, cranes, or hydraulic hoists.
- Maintain manufacturing records.
Shaping and Finishing Clay Product Machine Operators
- Shape various clay products (bricks, drainage pipes, etc.).
- Form pottery or porcelain items (jugs, cups, bowls, etc.).
- Fire products to the desired hardness.
Stone Shaping and Finishing Specialized Workers
- Cut blocks of stone to size.
- Grind and polish the surfaces of stone products.
- Engrave inscriptions and decorative motifs on stone monuments.
- Spray paint on stone and attach concrete slabs or bases to it.
- Drill holes in stone blocks or slabs according to specifications.

- Experience leads to supervisory positions.
