Directly request the used electric vehicle financial assistance
Most Québec car dealers can deduct the used electric vehicle rebate at the time of the transaction.
If it is offered, accept the option to obtain the rebate through the dealer.
If your dealer does not offer you this service, you must fill out the financial assistance application using the online services.
Prepare the necessary documents
To submit your financial assistance application for a used vehicle, you must provide:
- the complete, signed vehicle purchase contract in your name and address;
- the “Service received” document submitted when the vehicle was registered with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ). The registration certificate alone is not accepted;
- the “Vehicle file” available from your dealer or the SAAQ;
- the proof of inspection of the battery’s residual capacity.
You may be charged a fee for the required documents by your dealer or the SAAQ.
Deadline
It is no longer possible to submit a financial assistance application for a vehicle registered prior to January 1, 2020.
Submit the application online
Please note that once logged in, all online services of the Roulez vert program are available in French only.
Step 1 – Register for online services
You must create your account and completely fill out your user profile.
Consult the Register for online services procedure if you have not already done so.
Step 2 – Submit the rebate application
- Open a session . Choose the Roulez électrique program services in the online services.
- Click on Mes demandes (My applications) then on Créer une demande (Create an application). Choose the Véhicule d’occasion(Used vehicle) option.
- The Participant tab has already been filled out. Enter all the information required under the Véhicule (Vehicle) tab.
- Under the Documents tab, be sure to append to your application an electronic version of all the requisite supporting documents.
- Save the application, then click on Soumettre la demande (Submit the application).
Step 3 – Monitor the processing of your application
The program administrator will process your application.
You will be notified by email if corrections or additional information are required.
- You must access your account to make the corrections requested.
Step 4 – Enter your social insurance number
You will be notified by email once your application has been approved.
- Access to your account in the online services.
- Under the Mes avis (My notifications) tab, enter your social insurance number. The online services are secure, and this step is mandatory for you to receive the financial assistance.
You will receive your rebate in the form of a cheque by regular mail within four to six weeks.
Submit the application by regular mail
If you are unable to use the online services, you can submit the application by regular mail using the rebate application form.
Send the completed, signed form and a copy of all the requisite supporting documents.
