In 2026, you could obtain a $1,000 of Québec government financial assistance when you purchase a used electric vehicle eligible for the Roulez vert program.

Consult the list of eligible used vehicles under the Roulez vert program and the conditions to be met.

The applicable taxes are calculated on the vehicle’s price before the government rebate is applied.

Regardless of the date on which you purchase your vehicle, it is the date on which the vehicle is registered in your name that is considered to confirm the amount of the rebate granted and the vehicle’s eligibility.

Your dealer can directly apply the government rebate on your purchase contract. Accordingly, you do not have to wait to obtain the amount that the government is offering.

If you wish to directly request the financial assistance, you can do so through the program’s online services. You will receive the rebate several weeks after your application is approved.

Your dealer should not invoice administration fees to apply the government rebate. Be aware that you can refuse the dealer’s application of the rebate and apply online using our online services.

The Québec government can modify the conditions of the Roulez vert program and the amounts of the rebates.

The amounts of financial assistance for an electric vehicle gradually decrease in 2025 and 2026.
