The following orientation documents are intended for the education network. They guide the evaluation of learning in preschool, elementary and secondary school.

Policy on the Evaluation of Learning

Published in 2003, the Policy on the Evaluation of Learning is an orientation document produced by the Ministère de l’Éducation that establishes a common vision of evaluation in general education in the youth sector, adult general education and vocational training. It outlines the values, orientations and responsibilities of education stakeholders, while taking the specific aspects of each sector into account. The Policy values evaluation that is integrated into teaching practices to support competency development and success in all students. It should be noted that legal frameworks in effect take precedence over Policy content.

Our School's Choices in Light of the Provincial Report Card

Published in 2011, Our School's Choices in Light of the Provincial Report Card was produced to support the introduction of the provincial report card. It sets guidelines for the numbered results, weighting and compulsory communications, and can be used to support schools. It should be noted that legal frameworks in effect take precedence over the content of this document.

Renewing the Local Framework for the Evaluation of Learning

Published in 2005, the Renewing the Local Framework for the Evaluation of Learning guide and its components provide a conceptual framework designed to support the preparation of local standards and procedures for the evaluation of learning. The content can guide the support provided to schools based on their different situations. It should be noted that legal frameworks in effect take precedence over the content of these documents.
