Job description

These individuals inspect and maintain the interior of recreational vehicles. They repair or replace various systems or parts (wires, pipes, windows, furniture, framing, etc.). They mainly work for:

  • Recreational vehicle and watersports dealers
  • Sports clubs (golf clubs, snowmobile clubs, ATV clubs, etc.)
  • Marinas
  • Adventure tourism companies
  • Recreational vehicle manufacturers

Main tasks

  • Evaluate recreational vehicles and diagnose problems to determine the repairs necessary.
  • Order parts required for the repair or modification of recreational vehicles.
  • Adjust, test, and modify recreational vehicle components according to customer requests.
  • Maintain and repair trailer frames and running gear.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience leads to supervisory positions.
  • Qualified Recreational Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technicians obtain a Red Seal endorsement upon successful completion of the Interprovincial Standards Examination.

Most training programs are offered in French only.
