How to get advice about a non-urgent health problem

Contact Info-Santé by calling 811

For advice regarding a non-urgent health problem, you can contact Info-Santé by calling 811 (option 1). A nurse will answer your questions, make recommendations and, if necessary, refer you to an appropriate resource in your area. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

You can call Info-Santé when, for example:

  • You want professional advice on whether it would be best to see your doctor or another health professional or to go to emergency, because, for example, you have had the flu for several days or your child woke up with a high fever
  • You want advice about treating a minor health problem
