How to get a consultation: primary care health and social services
Getting a medical consultation with a health professional if you are waiting for a family doctor
People who are registered on the waiting list through the Québec Family Doctor Finder (Guichet d’accès à un médecin de famille, GAMF) can find a medical consultation through the Primary Care Access Point (Guichet d’accès à la première ligne, GAP).
This service allows patients who do not have a family doctor to have their health need assessed and to be referred to the most appropriate resource in their area, according to their situation.
