Implementation of a new schedule for the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) Reception Service at the Montréal-Trudeau airport
Please note that as of August 31, 2026, MIFI’s Reception Service (SAA) will be closed on weekends. It will be open according to the following schedule:
- Monday to Friday, from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., including statutory holidays.
Government-assisted refugees will continue to be greeted at all times, regardless of the expected day and time of arrival.
Arrival at the airport
If you arrive in Québec at the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, you will be greeted by personnel from the Reception Service of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration from Monday to Friday.
If you arrive on an international flight
First, you must go through Canadian customs control. Then, you will be directed to the Reception Service of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration. This service is located before the exit from the secured area, after picking up your luggage. The opening hours are from noon to midnight.
If you arrive on a flight from another Canadian airport
Proceed to the Reception Service of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration, located in the domestic arrivals area. The opening hours are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
