Directly request the financial assistance

If it is offered, accept the option to obtain the rebate from your dealer. Only the program’s partner car dealers established in Québec offer this service.

If your dealer does not offer you this service, if you acquire your vehicle in another Canadian province, or deal directly with the automaker, you must fill out the financial assistance application for a new electric vehicle by means of the online services.

Prepare the necessary documents

To submit your application online, you must append the following documents:

  • the complete, signed vehicle purchase or leasing contract that indicates your name and address;
  • the description of the new vehicle. Be sure to obtain it beforehand from your dealer;
  • the “Service received” document obtained when the vehicle was registered with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ). The registration certificate alone is not accepted;
  • any other document with information deemed relevant to the analysis of your application (e.g., the configuration of the vehicle).

You may be charged a fee for the required documents by your dealer or the SAAQ.

If you acquired your vehicle from a dealer outside Québec, you must also provide the vehicle’s history by requesting a report such as the Carfax Vehicle History Report from your dealer outside Québec when you acquire your vehicle.

Registration date

Vehicles registered between February 1 to March 31, 2025—during the temporary suspension of the program—are not be eligible for financial assistance.

It is no longer possible to submit a financial assistance application for a vehicle registered prior to January 1, 2020.

Submit the application online

Please note that once logged in, all online services of the Roulez vert program are available in French only.

Follow this procedure to submit your application online:

1 – Register for online services

  • You must create your account and completely fill out your user profile.
  • Consult the Register for online services procedure if you have not already done so.

Step 2 – Submit the rebate application

  • Open a session in the online services and choose the Programme Roulez électrique.
  • Click on Mes demandes (My applications) then on Créer une demande (Create an application). Choose the Véhicule neuf (New vehicle) option.
  • The Participant tab has already been filled out. Enter all the information required under the Véhicule (Vehicle) tab.
  • Under the Documents tab, be sure to append to your application an electronic version of all the requisite supporting documents.
  • Save the application then click on Soumettre la demande (Submit the application).

Step 3 – Processing of the application

The program administrator will process your application. You will be notified by email if corrections or additional information are required.

You must access your account to make the corrections requested.

Step 4 – Enter your social insurance number

You will be notified by email once your application has been approved.

  • Access your account in the online services.
  • Under the Mes avis (My notifications) tab, enter your social insurance number (SIN). The online services are secure, and this step is mandatory for you to receive the financial assistance.

You will receive your rebate in the form of a cheque by regular mail within four to six weeks.

Submit the application by regular mail

You can submit the application by regular mail using the PDF rebate application form.

We nonetheless encourage you to use the program’s online services if possible.

Send the completed, signed form and a copy of all the requisite supporting documents.
