Obtain the rebate through your dealer

Registration date

To be eligible for financial assistance, the vehicle must be registered while the program is in effect.

Vehicles registered between February 1, and March 31, 2025—during the temporary suspension of the program—are not eligible for financial assistance.

You can obtain the amount of the government rebate for your new electric vehicle directly through your dealer.

Procedure

At the time of the transaction, and with your authorization, your car dealer will fill out for you the financial assistance application for a new electric vehicle.

  • Your dealer will ensure that the vehicle is registered in your name.
  • He will verify that you are registered with the program’s online services.
  • He will validate your eligibility and confirm the exact amount of the financial assistance allocated for the vehicle selected.
  • He will ask you to sign an assignment of rights form. You signature confirms that you authorize the government to pay the financial assistance directly to your car dealer.

Your dealer is then authorized to deduct the amount of the financial assistance, also called the government rebate, on your purchase or leasing contract.

The applicable fees and taxes are calculated before the financial assistance is applied.

Create your user account beforehand
