Obtaining an offer of employment from a Québec employer
To come work temporarily in Québec, you must choose an offer of employment from a business established in Québec.
Your employer and you then will have to take steps to obtain the legal authorization to work in Québec.
As long as you have not obtained all the necessary authorizations and all the documents to come work in Québec, we strongly advise against taking any definitive action, such as:
- Quitting your job
- Buying travel insurance
- Buying airplane tickets
Where to find an offer of employment
To optimize your job searches in Québec, you may:
- Submit your application directly at the Journées Québec recruitment activities organized by the Gouvernement du Québec;
- Consult Québec corporate websites;
- Go to the page Available Job Offers;
- Go to the Québec Emploi website.
You will not be able to register on these platforms, except for Journées Québec, because the posted job offers are not intended for foreign workers.
However, you can explore them to help you identify Québec employers could be interested in spontaneous applications.

Employer Portal
The Employer Portal is an online tool that allows Québec employers to search for foreign workers corresponding to their labour needs.
If you have completed an expression of interest to come to Québec, and you have consented to hold a temporary job there, your profile may appear in the searches run by employers in the Employer Portal interface.
