You must have installed your charging station and be in possession of your electric vehicle when you submit your financial assistance application.
First purchase the charging station or the vehicle
You can have a charging station installed at your home before you buy or lease your electric vehicle. However, you must be in possession of your vehicle before you apply.
Link between the application and the vehicle
Each financial assistance application for a home charging station is associated with a specific electric vehicle: the unique vehicle identification number (VIN) and the vehicle registration number must be indicated in the application.
Time limit for submitting an application
To avoid losing your invoices, which must be appended to the application, submit your financial assistance application for your charging station as soon as you are eligible.
There is no maximum time limit between the date of acquisition of the vehicle and the date of the financial assistance application for a charging station. For example, you could submit your financial assistance application for a charging station in the year following the year in which you acquired your vehicle. However, you must still be the vehicle’s owner when you apply.
Charging stations installed prior to January 1, 2020
The program rules stipulate that if you purchased your charging station and had it installed before January1,2020, you are ineligible for financial assistance for a home charging station.
