About the Commissioner for Oaths
You may be required to swear in (take an oath) under certain proceedings. This can be done before a Commissioner for Oaths.
Taking an oath means solemnly declaring that everything stated orally or in writing is true.
Your oath makes a document more official or increases the credibility of your testimony.
Taking an oath is generally free, but some swearing-in fees may apply.
