Notary
A notary prepares, drafts or presents several types of requests for clients. In non-litigated and uncontested cases, a notary may represent the parties in requests involving the following:
- Probate of handwritten (holograph) wills or wills made before witnesses
- Institution of protective supervision and homologation of a protection mandate
- Adoption
- Legal recognition of property rights
- Voluntary division of property
- Acquisition of property rights by prescription
- Entry in the Land Register or the Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights
- Correction, reduction or cancellation of an entry in one or the other of the above-mentioned registers
- Cancellation of an entry or of the filing of a declaration in the register under Chapter II of the Act respecting the legal publicity of enterprises, or correction or deletion of inaccurate information in said register
