Notary

A notary prepares, drafts or presents several types of requests for clients. In non-litigated and uncontested cases, a notary may represent the parties in requests involving the following:

  • Probate of handwritten (holograph) wills or wills made before witnesses
  • Institution of protective supervision and homologation of a protection mandate
  • Adoption
  • Legal recognition of property rights
  • Voluntary division of property
  • Acquisition of property rights by prescription
  • Entry in the Land Register or the Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights
  • Correction, reduction or cancellation of an entry in one or the other of the above-mentioned registers
  • Cancellation of an entry or of the filing of a declaration in the register under Chapter II of the Act respecting the legal publicity of enterprises, or correction or deletion of inaccurate information in said register
