Examples of charging projects in multiple dwellings that are eligible for financial assistance

Projects aimed at facilitating electric vehicle charging in multiple dwellings may be eligible for financial assistance under the Écorecharge government program.

The following are the types of eligible projects:

One or more projects

An applicant may submit an application for financial assistance for each building they own.

For the same building, it is possible to apply for financial assistance for each type of project.

Exemple scenario

A property owner assigns a charging solution analysis mandate to a consultant. The owner applies for financial assistance for the analysis work.

Once the charging solution has been selected, the property owner decides to carry out electrical infrastructure upgrade work required for the implementation of the solution. The project targets more than 50% of the parking spaces in the multiple dwelling, so the owner may apply for financial assistance for the electrical infrastructure upgrade work.

The property owner may decide to install charging stations and apply for financial assistance. The acquisition and installation of the charging stations may also be left to the initiative of each resident of the building. A resident who owns an electric vehicle may obtain financial assistance for the installation of an individual charging station in a multiple dwelling.
