Prepare the supporting documents for a charging project in a multiple dwelling

To submit an application for financial assistance under the Écorecharge program, you must include the required supporting documents. These vary depending on the nature of your project.

Supporting documents for a feasibility analysis and support project

  • The invoice for the feasibility analysis and support report, with a breakdown by hourly rate or area of activity
  • The feasibility analysis and support report

Supporting documents for an infrastructure upgrade project

  • The invoice for the infrastructure work, with a breakdown of material and labour costs
  • Proof of the number of private units

Supporting documents for a charging station installation project

  • The invoice for the eligible charging stations purchased and installed, with the unit cost (before taxes) of each station
  • The long-term lease agreement for the leased charging stations, along with invoices for the initial payments already made, indicating the unit price (before taxes) of each station
  • The invoice for the installation work for the charging stations and electrical supply infrastructure, with a breakdown of material and labour costs

Photos of the installed charging stations

For a charging station installation project, you must include photos of the installed charging stations.

The photos must show all stations for which financial assistance is requested, as well as the building and relevant parking areas.

Also include photos of the new electrical infrastructure, if applicable (e.g., transformer, distribution panel, etc.).

Proof of charging station lease

To receive the fixed amount for leasing a charging station, you must include a copy of the lease agreement.

You must also provide proof of lease payment (e.g., a copy of a cheque endorsed by the financial institution or a bank transaction statement) when submitting your application.

Other required documents

Proof of the number of private units

There are various documents that can be used to prove the number of private units.

he declaration of co-ownership is a notarized document that binds all co-owners and establishes the rules of collective living and condominium administration.

As not all details are necessary for processing your application, it is recommended to submit only an excerpt of the declaration of co-ownership containing the following information:

  • Address of the building;
  • Number of residential private units.

Any other official document containing this information may also be submitted (e.g., proof of insurance, tax bills, property assessment roll, etc.).

Required information on invoices

All invoices and proof of payment must be in the name of the applicant.

For example, if the condominium syndicate, the building owner, or the developer covers the project costs, the invoices must be in their name; otherwise, additional proof of payment must be provided to show they have indeed paid the project costs.

Invoices must include specific information.

The invoices for the charging stations or the lease agreement must include the following information:

  • The applicant’s name;
  • The address of the building;
  • The transaction date;
  • The name or business name of the supplier, along with their contact information;
  • A detailed description of the items covered by the transaction;
  • The amount of each item covered by the transaction, and the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees);
  • In the case of a lease agreement, the monthly payments and the total amount paid over the term of the lease.

If the charging stations were purchased online, this information may be spread across multiple documents: be sure to include all required documents with your application.

The invoice for installation work carried out by an electrician must include the following information:

  • The applicant’s name;
  • The address of the building where the work was performed;
  • The installation date;
  • The name of the electrical contractor;
  • The contractor’s RBQ licence number;
  • The detailed cost of the installation work and the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees).
