Charging solution analysis project in a multiple dwelling

Obtain up to $5,000 in subsidies for analysis or advisory services provided by an external consultant.

The services must relate to the analysis of charging solutions for residents of a multiple dwelling, including the analysis of existing electrical infrastructure and energy cost optimization.

Amount of financial assistance

The financial assistance granted is equal to 75% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $5,000 per building.

The calculation is based on the amount of eligible expenses, before taxes.

Eligible expenses must have been fully made before submitting the application for financial assistance.

Financial assistance is payable in a single payment.

Eligible expenses

Eligible expenses for analysis and advisory services include professional service fees charged by an external consultant for:

  • the design of charging solutions for residents of the multiple dwelling;
  • energy assessment;
  • analysis of existing electrical infrastructure;
  • feasibility and equipment optimization study;
  • energy cost assessment and optimization.

Submitted expenses must be necessary and justifiable. They must relate to a charging solution for parking spaces reserved for residents of a multiple dwelling.

The external consultant must be employed by an organization with an establishment in Québec.

Eligible expenses will be calculated according to the current guidelines on salary and fee ceilings (PDF 305 Kb).

Ineligible expenses

Ineligible expenses are:

  • salaries and expenses of the applicant’s internal staff;
  • expenses for analyses not related to the areas of activity listed under eligible expenses;
  • translation fees for analysis documents or reports;

Date of expenses

To be eligible, expenses must have been made:

  • either after March 17, 2026 (the coming into force of the Écorecharge program);
  • or after January 1, 2024, for charging solution design projects already under way when the Écorecharge program comes into effect. These projects must include the acquisition of charging stations.

Expenses must be made while the government financial assistance program is in effect. This condition applies to both the Roulez vert and Écorecharge programs.                      

Expenses made during the suspension period of the Roulez vert program (from February 1 to March 31, 2025) are not eligible.
