Prepare the supporting documents for an individual charging station in a multiple dwelling

To submit an application for financial assistance for an individual charging station in a multiple dwelling, you must provide supporting documents.

Prepare an electronic copy of the required documents (in PDF format) or take a photo of each page with your cell phone.

Proof of acquisition of the charging station

The invoice for your charging station or your lease agreement must include the following information:

  • The applicant’s name and the address of the building;
  • The date of the transaction;
  • The name or business name of the supplier and their contact information;
  • A detailed description of the items covered by the transaction;
  • The amount for each item covered by the transaction and the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees);
  • In the case of a lease agreement, the monthly payments and the total amount paid at the end of the lease.

If the charging station was purchased online, this information may be spread across multiple documents: make sure to include all required documents with your application.

If the charging station is leased, you must include the long-term lease agreement for your charging station and the invoices for the initial payments already made.

Proof of installation of the charging station

The invoice for the installation work performed by an electrician must include the following information:

  • The applicant’s name;
  • The address of the building where the work was performed;
  • The installation date;
  • The name of the electrical contractor;
  • The RBQ licence number of the contractor;
  • The detailed cost of the installation work (including the cost of each item covered by the transaction) and the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees).

Estimates and quotes are not accepted as proof of installation.

Supporting documents related to the vehicle

Here are the supporting documents and required information related to your vehicle:

  • The electric vehicle identification number, also called the VIN (no supporting document required).
  • The “Service Received” document issued upon registration with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), or the vehicle registration certificate.

Proof of the number of private units

There are several documents that can be used to prove the number of private units.

The declaration of co-ownership is a notarized document that binds all co-owners and sets out the rules of community living and condominium administration.

Since these details are not required to process your application, it is recommended to provide only an excerpt from the declaration of co-ownership containing the following information:

  • Address of the building concerned;
  • Number of residential private units.

Any other official document that includes this information may also be submitted (proof of insurance, tax bills, property assessment roll, etc.).

Photos of the installed charging station

You must include photos of the installed charging station: the photos must show the charging station for which financial assistance is being requested, as well as the multiple dwelling and the parking areas.

Also include photos of the new electrical infrastructure, if applicable (transformer, distribution panel, etc.).
