Follow up your application for financial assistance under the Chauffez vert program

You will be notified by e-mail of your eligibility or ineligibility for financial assistance under the Chauffez vert program.

Additional information and documents may be requested while your file is under review.
You have until June 30, 2026 to send us all the documents we need to process your request.
Transmit your social insurance number
If you qualify, you’ll receive instructions by e-mail on how to securely transmit your Social Insurance Number (SIN) to the Chauffez vert program manager. You have until June 30, 2026, to send us your social insurance number.
Never send us your SIN by e-mail.
This step is mandatory before you can receive financial assistance under the Chauffez vert program.
- Revenu Québec requires the government to produce a tax form (Relevé 27 – Paiements du gouvernement) whenever financial assistance is paid out.
- The law also requires individuals to provide their social insurance number when a statement is to be issued in their name.
Financial assistance is generally tax-free.
If you are an individual and have received financial assistance from the Chauffez vert program for personal use, the amount of financial assistance is not taxable and you do not need to include the Relevé 27 statement on your income tax return.
If you have received financial assistance from the Chauffez vert program to operate a business, organization or asset, the amount of the financial assistance must be deducted from the capital cost of the asset acquired for the purpose of calculating tax depreciation.

Payment of financial assistance
You will receive a cheque for the amount of the Chauffez vert financial assistance within 4 to 6 weeks of confirmation that your file is complete.
Verification of work
The work you have submitted under the Chauffez vert program may be subject to an audit. The applicable auditing period is from the date your application is received until 12 months after the financial assistance has been paid out.
