Rénoclimat provides financial assistance for replacing existing doors and windows.
Keep the ENERGY STAR® labels from your new doors and windows to remain eligible for financial assistance.
Financial assistance amount
A $150 financial assistance amount is granted for the replacement of an existing door or window.
The amount is calculated per rough opening. For example, a bay window made up of three windows qualifies for only one $150 financial assistance grant, as all three windows are installed within the same rough opening.

Conditions
- Doors and windows must be ENERGY STAR certified. Keep the invoices and the ENERGY STAR labels from your doors and windows—you will need to present them to your Rénoclimat energy advisor during their visit to be eligible for financial assistance.
- Doors and windows must be installed in an already existing rough opening in a wall or on the roof.
Replacing only the glass, window sash, or a door without its frame does not qualify for Rénoclimat financial assistance.

Important notice
Your home’s EnerGuide rating must have improved after completing the retrofits for you to qualify for financial assistance.
Make sure your new doors and windows are properly sealed within their openings. The choice of high-performance doors and windows is just as important as proper installation in contributing to a home’s energy efficiency.
Even if the installation is adequate, replacing only a few windows may not be enough to improve your home’s EnerGuide rating. Consider carrying out other recommended retrofits suggested in the evaluation report before requesting a post-retrofit energy evaluation.
