Rénoclimat financial assistance
Rénoclimat financial assistance for improving a home’s airtightness
Air sealing consists of caulking areas prone to air leaks. This helps prevent both cold air infiltration and heat loss.
Rénoclimat grant amounts range from $400 to $800 for improving the airtightness of your home.
Calculation of the financial assistance amount
A home's airtightness level is measured during the blower door test.
It is expressed as the air-change rate per hour (ACH), which is indicated in your energy evaluation report.
Rénoclimat grant amount is calculated based on whether the air-change rate per hour target stated in your energy evaluation report is met or exceeded.
| Factors considered in the calculation | Grant amount |
|---|---|
| Achieving the air-change rate per hour target indicated in the energy evaluation report. | $400 |
| Exceeding the air-change rate per hour target by 10% as indicated in the energy evaluation report. | $600 |
| Exceeding the air-change rate per hour target by 20% as indicated in the energy evaluation report. | $800 |
