About the Écorecharge program

The Écorecharge financial assistance program is offered by the Gouvernement du Québec to encourage the acquisition of electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations as well as the analysis of charging solutions for electric vehicles.

The program is open to individuals, businesses, municipalities, private organizations and certain public organizations in Québec.

Provided all the program’s conditions are met, financial assistance is available to help participants with:

• the purchase and installation of a home charging station;
• the purchase and installation of an individual charging station in a multiple dwelling;
• electric vehicle charging projects in multiple dwellings;
• analysis and installation projects for charging stations in businesses or organizations (in French only).

The Program’s normative framework sets out the conditions to be met, along with the eligibility criteria and all the administrative rules applicable to the current version of the program.

The conditions for participation in the Program are summarized on the website. However, the content of the normative framework takes precedence at all times over any leaflets or other information that may be published about the Program.

The Gouvernement du Québec may demand repayment of the financial assistance if the recipient fails to comply with the Program’s conditions.
