List of eligible charging stations

Only the charging stations appearing on the list are eligible for financial assistance in the context of the government’s Écorecharge program.

The list covers:

• electric vehicle charging stations installed at home;
• electric vehicle charging stations installed in multiple dwelling buildings;
• electric vehicle charging stations installed in a business or an organization (in French only).

Characteristics of eligible charging stations 

Level 2 charging stations must be installed to operate with an electrical voltage of 208 or 240 volts, alternating current (AC).

As of April 1, 2026, only connected charging stations will be eligible for financial assistance. The purchase invoice date will be used to verify the station’s eligibility.

A connected charging station, also known as a smart charging station, can receive, send and process commands remotely using a mobile or web-based application.

This type of charging station allows, for example, programming the time and duration of charging according to a predefined charging schedule, taking into account peak demand periods on the electricity distribution grid.

The list is valid for charging stations installed in a business or an organization (in French only).

Characteristics of eligible charging stations

Direct current fast charging stations (also called DCFC), included in the Écorecharge program’s list of eligible stations, are approved by a body accredited by the Conseil canadien des normes. 

As of April 1, 2026, only certified stations will be included on this list.

If the charging station you are looking for is not on this list, you will not be able to claim financial assistance for its acquisition and installation.

Only charging station distributors and manufacturers may request additions.
